Budget
Our Budget positions ensure that FLHSMV has sufficient financial resources to carry out its mission. There are central budget positions responsible for ensuring FLHSMV’s long-term financial solvency by overseeing budget activities agency-wide, and positions within the divisions who coordinate budget activities for the division. Data Analysis
Our Data Analysis-focused positions serve as data analytics subject matter experts and can be found throughout the agency, from broad business operations analysis to specialized traffic crash analysis. These positions provide management and key stakeholders with the information needed to monitor program efficiency and effectiveness and make data-driven decisions regarding operation and service strategy. Our Purchasing and Contract positions oversee procurement and contract processes to ensure applicable laws, rules, and regulations are followed. Customer Service Call Center
Our Customer Service Center is a fast-paced call center that answers more than 4,000 calls per day, 5 days a week. These call-center positions handle calls, emails, faxes, and correspondence with internal and external customers relating to driver license and motor vehicle registration issues, as well as other inquiries, such as clearing suspensions or explaining compliance requirements for insurance. We have centers located in Tallahassee and Kissimmee; however, most of these positions are eligible for remote work.• Customer Service Analyst II

Driver License Issuance
Our Driver License Issuance positions provide driver license- and identification card- issuance services to the public. This work may include determining and verifying driver eligibility and compliance; administering driving tests; collecting customer payments; and issuing driver licenses, temporary licenses, and identification cards. In many counties, these services are carried out by our Tax Collector agents; however, FLHSMV operates 14 field offices in Broward and Miami-Dade counties. Our Custodial positions are responsible for performing housekeeping and janitorial duties at our headquarters location in Tallahassee. Our Facility Infrastructure positions perform work related to facility planning, construction, and safety. Security
Our Security positions perform a variety of front lobby security desk and building-monitoring activities to ensure building security and member safety at our headquarters location in Tallahassee. Depending on the time of day, this work may include greeting all visitors and providing relevant sign-in and service-referral information in reference to visitors’ needs; issuing access control security badges in accordance with established policy; coordinating with office staff and monitoring visitors to prevent unauthorized access; monitoring interior and exterior closed-circuit television monitors; conducting security patrols inside the building and outside in parking areas; and handling potential security incidents.• Security Officer

Application Development
Our Application Development positions work with some of the latest development technologies to conduct work involving the design, development, modification, testing, installation, implementation, documentation, and support of agency desktop and mobile applications. Administrative Review
Our Administrative Review positions are dedicated to improving the safety of Florida’s roadways, while at the same time providing excellent customer service and due process for drivers whose driver license or driving privilege has been suspended, revoked, canceled, or disqualified. This work includes conducting review hearings for a variety of reasons, such as roadside suspension, hardship, show cause, and hearings for dealers and mobile home installers. Fraud Analysis & Mitigation
Our Fraud Analysis and Mitigation positions seek to protect consumers from identity theft and motor vehicle fraud, and to protect the integrity of driver licenses and other identity documents issued by the agency. This work may include reviewing initial reports of fraud from issuance offices, law enforcement agencies, and the general public; conducting detailed investigations into suspected motor vehicle and driver license fraud; conducting in-depth analysis of gathered data to identify and determine underlying facts and reasons; writing detailed reports of findings and taking appropriate administrative actions on driver license and motor vehicle records, or referring cases to law enforcement for possible criminal investigation as appropriate; observing fraud patterns and trends in cases to predict consumer vulnerabilities; and developing fraud mitigation strategies such as strategies for identity-theft avoidance, deterrence, and detection.• MS Analyst II & III

Our General Counsel positions provide legal representation and advice statewide. The cases vary from civil forfeitures to defense of departmental orders and civil actions, injunctions, appeals of traffic cases involving state troopers, personnel actions, bid protests, and consumer protection before the Division of Administrative Hearings, every county and circuit court in the state, up to the district courts of appeal, the Florida Supreme Court, and even the United States Supreme Court. Our Medical Review Program positions, in coordination with FLHSMV’s Medical Advisory Board, are responsible for evaluating drivers who potentially have physical, mental, and visual deficits that could interfere with their ability to safely operate a motor vehicle. Safety Education
Our Safety Education positions develop resources and coordinate existing programs to enhance FLHSMV's mission of providing safety through education. This work includes researching and evaluating emerging safety trends; developing or collaborating with partner agencies on outreach programs targeting vulnerable road users (teen drivers, aging/senior drivers, motorcyclists, bicyclists, and pedestrians); and developing safety publications and materials (Class E and CDL Handbooks, Class E Skills Tests, etc.).
