Sgt. Virginia "Ginny" Cosson received a special welcome home from Gov. Charlie Crist when the 779th returned home recently.
Crist commended Ginny for the successful completion of her second 12-month combat deployment to Iraq in three years with the Florida Army National Guard. He also recognized Ginny as an outstanding employee with the Florida Highway Patrol as a duty officer at the Tallahassee Regional Communication Center. Ginny is a modern-day citizen soldier (AKA: weekend warrior), a part-time student at Tallahassee Community College and a full-time career service employee with the State of Florida. Ginny said her first priority is to transition back into her civilian occupation. Needless to say, she is extremely happy to be home.
