Florida and Alabama Troopers

On May 21, the Florida Highway Patrol and the Alabama Highway Patrol joined together to hold a joint Comprehensive Roadside Sobriety Checkpoint on US 231 at the Florida/Alabama state line as part of the Take Back Our Highways effort. The Troopers checked drivers for signs of impairment and removed dangerous drivers from the roadway. The goal was to combine education and enforcement together to help reduce the number of injuries and death associated with impaired driving. The Troopers working together displayed each state’s commitment to safer roadways.
