Always hard core
Ready for more

The members of the Florida Highway Patrol’s 124th Recruit Class graduate on May 9, 2013, which puts 59 new troopers on the road and ready to serve. They are the first class to endure a 23 week accelerated schedule of intensive training in academic and high liability areas including human relations, law, firearms, defensive tactics, vehicle operations and first aid.

FHP’s newest troopers report to their duty assignments for 10 more weeks of field training before they are released to solo patrol. When all of their training is complete, the recruits have spent 33 weeks preparing to serve Florida’s residents and visitors.

During their time at the academy, the recruits learned about community service in addition to their law enforcement training. They volunteered to assist at fund raisers for the Ronald McDonald House, the Law Enforcement Special Olympics Torch Run, and Pyramid, Inc. and they participated in several blood drives.

Congratulations to the 124th Recruit Class and welcome to the FHP family
