The Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles is expanding operations at its first "super office" to five days a week beginning next week. The driver licenses office located at 100 Stumpfield Road, previously closed on Mondays, will provide all driver license and motor vehicle services, Mon.-Fri., from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The phone number is 850-484-5016.
The Escambia County Tax Collector, in partnership with the DHSMV, is also offering all of these services at 507 North Navy Boulevard, Mon. 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m. and Tues.-Fri., 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. The phone number is 850-438-6500.
These "super" offices provide all driver licenses and motorcycle testing and issuance, as well as renewals, ID cards, and reinstatements. Customers may also renew their tags, apply for a disabled parking placard, and complete their vehicle title and registration services at these offices.
"This is an example of the improved service and cost savings that inter-governmental partnerships can give Floridians," said Fred O. Dickinson, DHSMV Executive Director.
Customers who are eligible to renew by mail, Internet, or telephone are encouraged to do so. Customers may mail their renewal or address change to the Bureau of Records, P.O. Box 5775, Tallahassee, FL 32314-5775, call 1-866-GoRenew (1-866-467-3639), or visit the Express Lane at www.GoRenew.com.
