Statement On The Passing Of Master Sgt. Hinton

Hinton was an extraordinary individual, who put his life on the line to protect and serve others. His life and 32-year career are nothing short of heroic. Master Sgt. Hinton served 32 years with the Florida Highway Patrol. After his graduation from the 77th Recruit Class, his first duty assignment was in Troop F, Ft. Myers, and throughout his career, he served at the FHP Training Academy and with the Criminal Interdiction Unit. Most recently, he served with the Office of Commercial Vehicle Enforcement in Troop J, Ft. Myers.
Master Sgt. Hinton suffered cardiac arrest during a training exercise and was transported to Gulf Coast Hospital where he later passed away.
