Paying the Assessment




The IFTA and IRP assessment can be paid at any time after receipt of the Notice of Proposed Assessment (NOPA). Interest for IFTA is calculated on the NOPA pursuant to IFTA Section R1230.300.010 through the last day of the month for which the letter is dated. In accordance with section 207.007(2), Florida Statutes, interest on tax owed of 1% per month will accrue beginning the first day of the following month until paid. Registrants/licensees can avoid paying additional interest by paying the tax due before the 1st day of the following month.
