PUBLIC RECORDS STATUS OF E-MAIL ADDRESSES

The following notice is provided in accordance with section 668.6076, Florida Statutes:

Under Florida law, e-mail addresses are public records.* If you do not want your e-mail address released in response to a public records request, do not send electronic mail to this entity. Instead, contact this office by phone or in writing.

*However, section 119.0712(2)(c), Florida Statutes, provides that e-mail addresses collected by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles are exempt from release to the public when collected in transactions for:

  • Title certificates [section 319.40(4), Florida Statutes];
  • Motor vehicle licenses [section 320.95(2), Florida Statutes]; or
  • Driver licenses or identification cards [section 322.08(10), Florida Statutes].
