2009 Civilian of the Quarter
April through June | Fanny Macias
Congratulations to Senior Clerk Fanny Macias for being selected as the Florida Highway Patrol Civilian of the Quarter for April through June 2009.
Ms. Macias’ constant dedication and sincere concern for excellence towards the position that she is in has made a tremendous difference in the Crash Records section of Troop E, Miami. The Crash Records department has been historically backlogged as much as three months in processing requests for crash reports from the public. Many times other employees such as dispatchers and district personnel have rendered their assistance to bring crash records up to date, only to fall back again.
Since Ms. Macias volunteered to assume the responsibilities of crash records, it has been current and not a single day late since February 2009, when she began working there. Every day she displays a positive attitude and is full of energy and determination to get all requests processed as well as all other responsibilities associated with crash records. Ms. Macias goes beyond the scope of her duties by contacting whoever she needs, regardless of rank, to assure reports are done and approved. She has proven to be very resourceful and skillful in obtaining positive results. Ms. Macias has accomplished what no other person has done with crash records in the past. Because of her perseverance and exemplary work, Troop E is serving the community professionally, promptly, and efficiently with regards to the processing of reports.
Congratulations for being selected Civilian of the Quarter for April through June 2009.
July through September | Jerry Causseaux
Congratulations for being selected as the Florida Highway Patrol Civilian of the Quarter from July thru September of 2009.
During this quarter, Mr. Causseaux was requested to go from Troop H, Tallahassee to Troop A, Marianna to repair flood damage to the Florida Highway Patrol station. The Marianna station suffered flooded floors and water damage to the drywall.
Expediency of this repair was critical. First, locating the source of the leak before further damages occurred to the building and its contents. Secondly, the eminent health concerns due to the growth of mold and fungus infestations. Without Mr. Causseaux’s professionalism, expertise and willingness to be a team player for the Department, we would have experienced a disastrous situation for the agency’s employees and general public.
Mr. Casusseaux accomplished this great task over several visits commuting approximately 150 miles each trip while also completing his daily assigned tasks at the Troop H station. Additionally, Mr. Causseaux was able to complete all of the repairs for less than 200 dollars in materials, resulting in great savings for the Department. Your actions help better the Florida Highway Patrol and the community.
Congratulations for being selected Civilian of the Quarter for July thru September 2009.
October through December | Ruthenell DuBose
Congratulations for being selected as the Florida Highway Patrol Civilian Employee of the Quarter from October thru December of 2009.
The Pensacola District lost a clerk’s position last year therefore the remaining clerks were assigned additional responsibilities. Due to retirement and sick leave it left the office with two clerks to complete all district duties. Senior Clerk Ruthenell DuBose was exceptionally enthusiastic and frequently worked alone to complete reception area tasks, answer phones and sell crash records.
Ms. DuBose accepted new job assignments and devoted attention to all aspects of her position. She cheerfully coped with the demands of supervisors, coworkers and the public. She also works well with others and handles difficult situations tactfully. Also during this time Ms. DuBose maintained a database for purchases for the sworn members of the Pensacola District.
Ms. DuBose has exhibited numerous positive qualities; she is open minded, dependable and dedicated. Ms. DuBose’s actions help better the Florida Highway Patrol and the community.
Congratulations for being selected Civilian of the Quarter for October thru December 2009.
