2018 Civilian of the Quarter
January through March | Ms. Jennifer Van Iterson
Congratulations to Ms. Jennifer Van Iterson for being selected as the Florida Highway Patrol Civilian Employee of the Quarter from January through March 2018.
Since Van Iterson’s employment with the Florida Highway Patrol and as the administrative assistant to the Troop J Commander, she has vastly improved the overall proficiencies of the troop. Van Iterson has consistently helped Troop J and Troop I with strategically organizing the administrative action plan, arranging training calendars. overseeing operation center information, tracking daily patrol shifts, emergency orders and more. Van Iterson was also instrumental through the devasting event of Hurricane Irma, Operation Gainesville and the North Florida ice storms. Van Iterson was also the key component in handling the Troop J staff inspection during the quarter.
Van Iterson is to be commended for her exceptional job performance and her willingness to go above and beyond her job duties. Van Iterson’s actions help better the Florida Highway Patrol.
April through June | Mr. William “Bill” Addison
Congratulations to Mr. William “Bill” Addison for being selected as the Florida Highway Patrol Civilian Employee of the Quarter from April through June 2018.
Addison has mentored and made a direct impact on the Department of Corrections inmates by providing them with oversight and instructions on the proper maintenance of the Jacksonville facility and two riding lawn mowers. On his own initiative, Addison remodeled an existing out building to store essential hurricane supplies, generators, chain saws, as well as the Troops Quick Reactionary Force equipment. Addison also maintained and serviced the emergency equipment and the Troop’s spare patrol vehicles, to ensure they are all operational when needed.
Addison’s hard work, dedication and love for the Florida Highway Patrol has earned him enormous respect from those who know and work with him. Addison is commended for being a self-starter for his exceptional job performance and his willingness to go above and beyond his job duties. Addison’s actions help better the Florida Highway Patrol.
July through September | Ms. Jessica Chavez
Congratulations to Ms. Jessica Chavez for being selected as the Florida Highway Patrol Civilian Employee of the Quarter from July through September 2018.
Since returning to work after her leave, Chavez has performed her duties and responsibilities in a commendable and professional manner. During this quarter, Chavez has successfully completed the consolidation of Troop K’s Evidence and Property into the Troop E Evidence and Property function in a timely manner. Chavez was also able to coordinate and conduct a destruction order for approximately 883 items and she completed a reorganization of the Troop E Evidence and Property Room.
Chavez is commended for her exceptional job performance and her willingness to go above and beyond her job duties. Chavez’s actions help better the Florida Highway Patrol.
October through December | Mr. Archie McNair
Congratulations to Mr. Archie McNair for being selected as the Florida Highway Patrol Civilian Employee of the Quarter from October through December 2018.
McNair offers assistance to those in need and without hesitation. McNair consistently reports to work on time and displays a positive attitude. McNair takes great pride in his role with the Florida Highway Patrol as the Evidence and Property Custodian.
During this quarter, McNair was able to submit a request to the Court of Martin County to destroy over one thousand items that are no longer required to be kept in the evidence room. The request, if granted, will free up much needed space and keep the evidence room organized.
McNair is to be commended for his exceptional job performance and his willingness to go above and beyond his job duties. McNair’s actions help better the Florida Highway Patrol.
