April through June | Olivia Zabrucki

Congratulations Olivia Zabrucki for being selected as the Florida Highway Patrol Civilian Employee of the Quarter from April through June 2024.

LEIA II Olivia L. Zabrucki has demonstrated exemplary performance supporting FHP Patrol Operations and Special Services commands. Recently, LEIA II Zabrucki was assigned to identify and locate a suspect vehicle involved in a highway violence shooting that occurred in Collier County. Throughout her investigation, she obtained and reviewed over 4,000 images from FDOT cameras and License Plate Readers (LPRs) until she was able to locate images of the suspect vehicle both before and after the shooting. She was able to determine the shooting appeared to be the result of Road Rage. Based on LEIA II Zabrucki’s critical investigative information, BCII Investigators/Detectives were able to identify and then locate the suspect vehicle. That information, further investigation, and teamwork resulted in a suspect being identified and ultimately charged. The criminal charges were three felony counts of Discharging a Firearm from a Vehicle, three felony counts of Shooting or Throwing a Missile into a Vehicle, and three counts of Aggravated Assault with Intent to Commit a Felony. During this investigation, LEIA II Zabrucki generated five photo lineups, reviewed 4,000 images from two large data requests, and supported our investigators well past regular business hours when needed. Her high level of dedication, support and professionalism were exceptional and made all the difference in this case as with many others she contributes to.

LEIA II Zabrucki continues to provide a high level of analytical and investigative support to the Patrol on many complex cases and she is commended for a job well done. The work our analysts do each day is the backbone of quality investigative work and critical to the thorough investigative work and ultimate prosecution of the criminals who prey on our residents and visitors.
