Media Public Record Request





Members of the media requesting public records should send their requests to the Office of Media Communications at hsmv-info@flhsmv.gov.

Each request should include:

  • Requestor name/Media Organization/Contact email or phone number
  • Preferred method of obtaining records
  • Explanation of records requested
  • If the request involves data or email, please be specific and include a date range. The more information provided the easier it will be to fill the request.
  • If the request is for an incident, please include the county, date and time of occurrence.
  • Mug Shot or Booking Photos will be available through the jail in the county where an individual was arrested.
  • Some requests have an associated fee to process due to either statutory requirements or in consideration of personnel time spent fulfilling a request. Requests that incur a fee will first be sent to the requestor as an estimate. Once the estimate is paid, the record will be fulfilled. If the estimate is not paid within 30 days of issuance the request will be canceled.
  • Records are processed in the order they are received.
