Hope Florida
Law enforcement officers across the state encounter citizens needing assistance every day. As they patrol our communities, they often encounter individuals needing food, clothing, employment opportunities, substance abuse services or other resources. Through the Hope Florida program, law enforcement officers, including the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), can connect citizens in need of these resources by directing them to call 850-300-HOPE to speak with a Hope Navigator in the form of law enforcement resource cards. FHP State Troopers are proud ambassadors of Hope Florida and are equipped to inform and assist members of the public in connecting them with Hope Navigators.
“A common denominator among many who answered the call to become a law enforcement officer is a strong desire to help people,” said Executive Director of the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles Dave Kerner. “We at the Florida Highway Patrol are honored to work directly with First Lady Casey DeSantis, through Hope Florida, to amplify our community and faith institutions and uplift those in need. Through the distribution of the Hope Florida resource cards, law enforcement officers across the state will have the ability to bridge this gap by connecting those in need of hope to resources through the help of Hope Navigators.”
Established on September 9, 2021, by Florida First Lady Casey DeSantis, Hope Florida is committed to providing a clear pathway to prosperity, economic self-sufficiency, and hope for those in need. Through the guidance of experts, known as Hope Navigators, individuals in need are provided with a structured process to identify resources, set long-term goals, and develop a strategic plan to overcome barriers and achieve success.
